About the GunTriever
The components of the GunTriever are simple. The GunTriever Assembly consists of a heavy duty shock absorbing cord which attaches to the tree stand. This cord is connected to a 13 foot strap which is then connected to the Gun Stock Strap, which can be sized to fit the butt of almost any gun. The patent pending design of the GunTriever provides security when hunting is in progress. If the gun slips or falls from the stand, it can easily be retrieved without leaving the stand. The GunTriever also helps ensure that the gun falls barrel down and does not hit the ground. This prevents injury to the hunter due to an accidental shooting. It also protects the gun from being damaged by a collision with the ground. The GunTriever also provides hunters, through the Safe - Retrieve™ Tether, with a safe way to raise and lower a weapon when entering or exiting a tree stand. 

This product is field tested by hunters and fits up to a 16’ tree stand. The Gun Stock Strap needs to be set only once to fit your gun and the entire GunTriever Assembly clips quickly and easily to almost any tree stand. In total, the GunTriever components weigh less than one pound, and come in a waterproof pouch that can be clipped to a belt. The fabric used to manufacture the GunTriever is durable nylon, so the GunTriever is strong and weather resistant.

About the GunTriever Extender
The GunTriever Extender was developed based on feedback from our field testers and at our customers’ request. This product allows GSI’s standard GunTriever to be used with stands that are up to 30 feet above the ground. The GunTriever Extender is designed to add an additional 14 feet to the standard GunTriever Safe-Retrieve™ Tether. When used with the Extender, the Safe – Retrieve™ Tether allows hunters to raise or lower their rifle safely to and from stands up to 30 feet high. 

Once the hunting rifle is safely in the stand, the GunTriever Extender and the Safe Retrieve Tether are detached and hunting proceeds normally.  The Extender simply increases the height of the stand from which a gun can be raised and lowered.  Regardless of the height of the stand, and whether or not the Extender is used, the GunTriever will still ensure that a hunting rifle which is dropped from a tree stand will fall barrel down, eliminating the risk of injury due to accidental discharge.
